Amy Lavan, Board Chair
Amy Lavan is thrilled to be the Board Chair for this zany, zesty, dance-in-the-streets-'cause-why-not organization. Whether she's writing grants, lighting Shabbat candles, or wrangling the Board, Amy's heart is in its Jewish home at the Alberta Shul. Amy's physical home can be found on Clackamas and Cowlitz land, where she works out of her dining room as the Interim Development Director for Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette. When she's not eating or working (or working out) in her house, you can find Amy biking the Trolley Trail with her partner, playing Dragon Age, and backpacking in the hills.

Arielle Ross
Arielle Ross is the treasurer of the Alberta Shul. They work as a therapist in private practice specializing in Trauma and ADHD. In their free time, Arielle likes to decorate and make art, play board games and MtG with friends, hang out with their favorite elementary school kiddo and scour Portland’s thrift stores for awesome vintage home goods. Arielle’s favorite Alberta Shul event is our annual Hanukkah Rager, because they love dancing to folk music of all kinds. For Arielle, being Jewish is about prioritizing social justice, honoring the ancestors and finding joy and meaning in every day moments.

Asher Kutcher
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Chava Solberg
Chava is a board member of the Alberta Shul and is always accompanied by her service dog, Joy. She is a supervisor at a quasi-governmental social work agency and organizes different dog park meetups. Chava strongly believes in community, no matter how Jew-ish you identify. She likes to pour into her people, meeting locals for coffee or utilizing technology to keep faraway loved ones feeling close.
